Position Overview:

The Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) at Opal Autism Centers will conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for children who may have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neuro-developmental disorders. 
 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct assessments, analyze data, and prepare detailed evaluation reports.
  • Diagnose and provide treatment recommendations for children with ASD and related disorders.
  • Provide post-evaluation feedback to clients and their families.
  • Coordinate with clinical, intake, and admissions personnel to ensure timely access to care.
  • Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) on the development and oversight of client treatment plans and outcomes.
  • Participate in administrative and quality improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Adhere to Opal Autism Centers’ standards for quality assurance and ethical care.
 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) in North Carolina.
  • Strong knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of neuro-developmental disorders, including ASD.
  • Prior experience conducting evaluations for children with ASD, IDD, and other neuro-developmental disorders.
  • Proficiency with tools such as ADOS-2, ADI-R, DISCO, CARS, or other evidence-based assessment tools.
  • Excellent communication and clinical writing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Adaptable, self-motivated, and passionate about Opal Autism Centers’ mission.
  • Strong adherence to HIPAA requirements.

Work Environment and Travel:

This position requires regular travel to our some of our centers across North Carolina. Local, state, and regional travel may be required from time to time to meet the needs of our clients and centers.
